Family therapy in Katy, Texas
Support for parents, children, and teens navigating conflict, communication difficulties, and strained relationships within the household.
When tensions build at home, even small disagreements can turn into familiar arguments or leave family members feeling unheard. Family therapy provides a space to understand how everyone is experiencing those interactions and work toward more effective ways of relating to one another.
My family therapy work primarily focuses on immediate family members who live together, including parents and children or teens. We can look at the patterns that develop within the household, the emotions underneath them, and what each person needs to feel heard and respected.
Family therapy may help with
- Parent-child and parent-teen conflict
- Communication breakdowns and recurring arguments
- Emotional distance or feeling misunderstood
- Boundaries, expectations, and household roles
- Changes and transitions affecting the family
- Rebuilding trust and connection at home
What family therapy with me is like
My approach is active, collaborative, and attentive to each family member's perspective. We'll explore how interactions unfold, identify patterns that keep conflict going, and practice ways of communicating and responding that better support the family. The goal isn't to assign blame, but to help family members understand one another and make practical changes together.
